To create the crinkled look & feel, wool is woven with cotton and then washed to generate shrinkage in the fabric as the wool shrinks at a higher rate and lower temperature than the cotton. The finished material is then cut to a slightly oversized fit and manufactured in Fukushima (which also happens to be the hometown of our Japanese factory liaison).
